Active digital solutions were formed in 2025 after the founder discovered a niche in the market to supply residential home owners with digital phone lines and HD telephones.

After his elderly parents changed broadband supplier, they were left to assume they would still be able to continue using their analogue landline telephone but this was not the case.

After being left with no telephone service at all, which being elderly they highly depended on a house telephone for calls with family and emergency use, so they called upon their son, the founder of ADS to help them.

He made numerous calls to try and get their telephone service working again for them but soon discovered that you could no longer purchase a traditional analogue landline anymore and in fact the main provider Openreach/BT were starting to shut down the old analogue service altogether, with all the older landlines ceasing to operate by January 2027.

Their son then researched how he could get his parents a working telephone again, he purchased some digital handsets and obtained digital lines for testing and settled on Yealink and Fanvil products. He then advised and assisted his parents with purchasing a new digital line and handsets, for which their son set them up with a new digital line service and let them trial the new system to see if it was suitable for residential use.

His parents were overjoyed that they finally had a working telephone again but not only this but with them using hearing aids, they were amazed they could now clearly hear people on calls, something they hadn’t experienced before with the older traditional landline and telephone, which they had struggled with hearing people on calls. His parents continue to enjoy crystal clear HD audio to this day.

After finding out no one supplied digital lines and handsets to the residential community, the old traditional lines were being shut down and the high chance other elderly residents would also suffer the same loss of a telephone they depend on, just like his parents did, he decided to create a new business and website to solely provide new digital phone lines and handsets for anyone who are still using the old traditional landlines, changed to new digital broadband and been left without a telephone or wanting to upgrade before the traditional landlines cease to operate, to help anyone who wished to retain a telephone service, providing residential customers with secured/encrypted phone lines, superior benefits of a crystal clear HD audio experience, with hearing aid compatibility so the elderly could also experience a superior phone call experience over that of traditional analogue phones, also with call recording for an added extra security feature if required.

Not only bringing the great benefits as above that come with a new digital phoneline and HD phone system but digital lines also come with even more additional benefits over the old traditional landlines, which are – Cheaper per-minute calls, international calls that cost pennies not pounds and low-cost monthly line rental, that’s a fraction of the cost that we pass on to our customers.

The founder believes that everyone should be able to have a low cost, reliable and secure phone system in their home and enjoy HD audio, whether hard of hearing or not.

Mobile phones are very reliant on mobile mast coverage and when signals are poor in the area, a digital line is more reliable, always connected and doesn’t rely on any mobile network coverage. Mobile phones can also get left in draws or pockets or even run out of battery, making mobile phone even more unreliable and further susceptible to not being able to receive calls, providing a high-risk possibility that all important call won’t be received. Digital lines and phones provide a more reliable and an always available telephone system.
